Canine Styling

Canine Styling is a breed-focused grooming salon on Hobart Road in Youngtown, just south of central Launceston. It is run by James, who brings more than 20 years of dog grooming and show-presentation experience to the bench, with training that started in a Melbourne salon under an international instructor and continued through mentorship by all-breed judges and groomers across Australia.

The work is rooted in breed knowledge rather than a one-size-fits-all clip. Full grooms are styled either to breed standard or to an owner's preference, while bath and blow-dry sessions use products matched to the dog's coat type and finish with a warm dry and brush-out. A lighter tidy groom keeps coats looking fresh between full appointments. The salon specialises in breeds it knows intimately, including Hungarian Vizslas, Miniature Poodles, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Bichons, and the setting is kept calm and dog-focused throughout the visit.
