What full groom includes

• ✓ Pre-groom coat and skin check, and a brief about the style you want
• ✓ Wash and full blow-dry
• ✓ Haircut or clip to the length and style agreed at drop-off
• ✓ Face, feet and sanitary trim
• ✓ Nail trim and file
• ✓ Ear cleaning and, where needed, ear hair removal
• ✓ Finishing — bow or bandana at most salons, cologne at some

How long it takes

One and a half to three hours for most dogs. A large or heavily matted coat can run longer, and good salons will tell you at drop-off rather than at pick-up.

What it costs

Typically $80–110 for a small to medium dog in Australia. Large dogs, dense or matted coats, and mobile grooming all push above that. A matted coat costs more because it takes longer and is harder on the dog, not because anyone is being punished for it.
