Dogcity Kent Town

Dogcity Kent Town is one of the South Australian Dogcity venues, set in the Kent Town precinct just east of Adelaide's city centre. Best known as a doggy daycare, it also runs a dedicated grooming service built around the same force-free, positive-reinforcement philosophy that shapes the rest of the business.

The grooming menu runs from a bubble bath and blow dry through to a paw-dicure or a full breed clip, carried out on hydraulic bath tubs filled with fresh rather than recycled water. Appointments are deliberately unhurried and can be paused if a dog shows any sign of discomfort, with enrichment such as Licki Mats and treat balls used to keep the session calm. That patient, welfare-led approach is pitched at dogs who can find grooming overwhelming, as well as senior dogs, puppies, very big or very small dogs, and those recovering from surgery or not allowed to jump or jolt. Grooming bookings include daycare socialisation across a minimum six-hour stay.
