Aloha K9 Services is a dog grooming salon on the Pacific Highway in Swansea, on the southern edge of Lake Macquarie. The business runs out of two adjoining salons, the Hula Salon and the Moana Salon, and leans into a Hawaiian-inspired ethos built around patience and gentle handling rather than rushing dogs through a production line. A full groom moves through a brush-out, a warm bath and massage, blow dry, a detailed brush and de-shed, a finishing cut and style, then a nail clip and ear clean. The salon favours natural products, with a strawberry shampoo and a coconut conditioning treatment, and keeps fresh towels disinfected between every dog. The approach is described as a calm, home-like environment, with a 'Riding The Wave' technique aimed at keeping nervous and anxious dogs settled through each stage.
