Ava & Archer is a cat-only grooming boutique and boarding cattery on Newcastle Street in Fyshwick, ACT. Founded by Helena, who left a real estate career to follow a long-held passion for cat care, the business is built on a single conviction: cats are not small dogs, and they deserve an approach grounded in patience, trust and feline expertise.

The space is kept deliberately calm, with no barking dogs, loud noises or harsh smells to unsettle a nervous cat. Grooming is done gently and without restraint or sedation, with staff working at each cat's own pace and reading body language as they go. Experienced groomers work in pairs for extra security, and appointments are unhurried rather than rushed through. The team brings more than twenty years of combined grooming and cat care experience and are regulars on the cat show circuit, comfortable presenting everything from shorthair and longhair coats to hairless cats. The boarding cattery, opened in March 2022, offers walk-in enclosures and smaller single-cat pens in a climate-controlled, carbon-filtered space, with premium food, quality litter and daily enrichment included.
