Banksia Bath 'n' Groom

Banksia Bath 'n' Groom is a home-based dog grooming salon at 26 Waitara Road in Banksia Park, in Adelaide's Tea Tree Gully area. It is run solo by Emily, who started the business in 2021 after noticing how hard it could be for locals to get their dogs booked in, especially around the holiday season and for larger dogs that don't always fit a busy salon's schedule.

Grooming covers smooth-coated dogs, double and longer-coated breeds, and full doggy haircuts, all built around a large hydrobath with warm water and a choice of shampoos and conditioners. A specialised pet dryer that runs much quieter than many others helps keep the experience calm, which suits dogs that find grooming stressful. Emily brings over fifteen years in the animal care industry, including shelter and boarding kennel work, time in a veterinary clinic, an animal science degree, and breed-specific grooming training, along with a strong grounding in dog behaviour. That background shapes a patient, flexible approach to young puppies, anxious dogs, and senior dogs, as well as breeds big and small.

The salon works by appointment and is fully insured, with grooming tailored to each dog rather than rushed through a production line.
