About Barking Butler Grooming Studio
Barking Butler Grooming Studio is a family-owned dog and cat grooming salon on Coode Street in the heart of South Perth. Founded in 2020 by mother-and-daughter team Lynnie and Charlotte Butler, it grew out of their own search for grooming they could trust for their pets, and the studio still treats every animal as if it were their own.
The approach leans as much on animal well-being as on appearance. Every treatment includes a holistic health check, a hand-finished double shampoo and conditioning, and gentle hand-drying, and the team runs separate dog and cat services so each is handled in a setting suited to it. Work spans everyday bath-and-blows and full clips through to breed-standard and Asian Fusion styling, hand-stripping, and a dedicated cat menu including bear and lion cuts. Puppies and kittens have their own introductory experiences, and a slower hourly Special Care Groom caters to anxious, elderly, arthritic, or end-of-life pets. The salon's expertise runs deep: co-founder Charlotte is a past president of the Dog Groomers Association of Western Australia, and the founders established the Companion Animal Grooming Institute of Australia in 2023.
