About Dirty Dogs Clip N Clean
Dirty Dogs Clip 'n' Clean is a dog grooming salon at Shop 1/1 Newton Road in Newton, on the corner of Montacute and Newton Roads in Adelaide's eastern suburbs. The salon opened in December 2005 and is run as a family business by Kirrily Bayley, a trained vet assistant who started out as a mobile groomer in 2003 before settling into the Newton shopfront, working alongside her husband Bill and groomer Trudy.
The defining feature here is that dogs are never caged. Pets wait and socialise together rather than being shut away, and the team makes a point of staying calm and confident with animals that find grooming stressful. Owners are welcome to drop their dog off or stay and watch. The salon takes on all dogs large and small, has a particular willingness to work with matted coats, and also grooms cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. Day care is available for dogs that need to stay longer.
With a long-standing local following and regular referrals from nearby vet clinics, the salon leans on experience and a relaxed, no-cage approach to send dogs home calm and happy.

No. The salon does not use cages, so dogs can wait and socialise together rather than being shut away.

Yes. As well as dogs, they groom cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, with options from a belly and bottom shave through to a wash and full clip.
Can they handle a matted dog?
Yes. The salon takes on all dogs large and small and works with matted coats.
Do I need an appointment for a nail clip?
No appointment is needed for nail clipping. It costs $10 for small and medium dogs and $15 for large and extra-large dogs, and is included free with all other grooming services.
Is there a discount for pensioners?
Yes. Aged or Disability Pension Card holders receive a $5 discount on presentation of their card. It is not valid with a Seniors Card or Health Care Card.

Pick-up and delivery is available through Happy Pet Helpers from $26 depending on your location, with additional costs applying.
