About Divine Dog Grooming Salon

Divine Dog Grooming Salon is an independent dog grooming studio on Dunoon Court in Mulgrave, in Melbourne's south-east, run on a foundation of gentle handling and hands-on experience. The salon was established in June 2009 by Dani, a fully certified groomer who holds a Certificate III in Animal Technology and a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services and has been grooming since 2005.

The work here runs from full grooms and tidies through to coat care for shedding breeds and hand-stripping for terriers, and Dani brings competition-level credentials to the bench, having placed in shows with Poodles, Bichons, Airedales, Lakeland and Lakeland-type terriers, Schnauzers and cross breeds, including a third placing with her Bichon at an international competition in Atlanta in 2013. All breeds are welcome and no dog is considered too young or too old. The team makes a point of giving extra time to dogs that find grooming stressful or that are recovering from surgery, so the visit stays as calm as possible.

For Mulgrave dog owners after a certified, competition-experienced groomer who takes the time to settle anxious pets, this long-running salon is a considered choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a full groom include at Divine Dog Grooming?

A full groom includes a sanitary clip (eyes, armpits, pads, groin and bottom), nail clipping or filing, ear plucking and cleaning, anal gland expression if needed, your choice of clipping style, a warm hand wash bath with natural tearless shampoo, a blow dry, and bows or a bandana on request. A flea rinse is available for an extra $5 if required.

Do they groom anxious or older dogs?

Yes. All breeds are welcome and no dog is considered too young or too old. Extra time is given to dogs that get easily stressed by grooming and to those recovering from surgery, with the aim of keeping the experience as calm and stress-free as possible.

How much does grooming cost?

Quotes are based on the dog's size, temperament, coat condition and the grooming time required, so prices are given on enquiry rather than as a fixed list.

Do you need an appointment?

Yes, the salon operates by appointment only and is located at 8 Dunoon Court, Mulgrave VIC 3170.

Is there a difference between a full groom and a tidy?

A tidy is a lighter service covering a sanitary clip, nails, ear plucking and cleaning, a brush out, a trim of the face, feet and bottom, a warm wash and a blow dry, without the full clipping style of a complete groom.

Do they offer extras like teeth brushing or mud treatments?

Yes. Teeth brushing is $10 on the first visit and $5 thereafter, paw packs are $10, and Dead Sea mud wraps for skin conditions start at $20 for a full body on small dogs. Semi-permanent colour dyeing that lasts 8 to 10 washes is also available.
