Hobsons Bay Dog Grooming is a dog grooming salon on Mason Street in Newport, in Melbourne's inner west, with a team built around hands-on styling experience. Founder Andy brings more than a decade behind the clippers, owner Brooke another seven years, and the wider team splits its strengths between small-breed styling and larger dogs, so coats of every length and temperament are matched to a groomer who knows how to handle them.

The work spans scissor-finished styling cuts and full clip-offs through to tidy-ups between haircuts, baths, nail clipping and de-shedding for long-haired coats. Poodles, Bichons, Westies, Schnauzers, Cavoodles, Spaniels and other doodle breeds are regular visitors, and the salon frames its service around the realities of local life, naming busy families, apartment dwellers, working professionals and senior pet owners among those it sets out to look after.
