Mr Teddy Bear is a dog grooming salon and boutique in Bowen Hills, just on the edge of Brisbane's inner city, founded on Sisi Tang's love of dogs. Alongside grooming it runs size- and age-segregated daycare and boarding, but the grooming is where its character shows: the team describe themselves as stylists rather than hair cutters, and they treat each visit as something that should feel pleasant and positive for the dog.

The grooming menu runs from a straightforward bath and blow-dry through to full styled grooms, including a short Hawaii summer clip, a fluffier Teddy clip, breed-specific trims for coats like poodle and schnauzer, an Asian Fusion shape, and a hand scissor trim for double-coated dogs that need their dropped undercoat brushed out. Scissors are the primary tool and dogs are towel- and dryer-finished rather than cage-dried, then sent home with a touch of cologne. The salon never sedates pets and does not accept sedated ones, and it runs 24/7 surveillance so owners of nervous or previously mistreated dogs can ask to see how their groom went.
