Pretty Paws by Jade

Pretty Paws by Jade is a small, one-on-one dog grooming salon run out of a boutique space on Willarong Road in Caringbah, in the Sutherland Shire. It is owned and operated by Jade Brinkworth, who works alongside her own groodle, Coco, and builds each visit around a customised grooming plan rather than a production line.

The focus here is on a calm, unhurried experience and the wellbeing of the dog in the chair. Grooming covers everything from a bath and blow-dry with massage and a nail clip through to a tidy-up, a short clip, and a longer, more elegant styled clip finished by hand with scissors. Jade uses Australian-made Melanie Newman shampoo and conditioner, and the salon takes a gentle line on care: matted coats are clipped off rather than painfully de-matted, and muzzles are only ever a last resort. Her background runs deep, with a Certificate III in pet grooming, pet first aid, and a record of competing and winning at grooming competitions.

With one dog seen at a time and bookings often filling months ahead, it suits owners after a careful, personal groom.
