The Prefurred Groomer

The Prefurred Groomer is an independently owned mobile dog grooming service working out of the Box Hill North and Mont Albert area in Melbourne's inner east. Rather than asking owners to drop off at a shopfront, the groomer brings a fully fitted mobile salon directly to the home, where each dog is seen one-on-one for the whole appointment.

The trailer is climate controlled with its own heating and air conditioning and runs as a cage-free space, so dogs wait with the groomer rather than in a holding crate. The groomers are Fear Free Certified and lean on gentle, reward-based handling and desensitisation, an approach that suits nervous dogs and older pets who find a busy salon overwhelming. Sessions are booked around the owner's availability, with a quiet tour of the salon offered beforehand for anyone who wants to see where their dog will be cared for.

Services run from a simple bath and tidy through to full and styled grooms, with coat treatments and spa add-ons available.
