The Wag Club

The Wag Club is a home-based boutique dog grooming salon run out of a private air-conditioned home studio at Brightwater in Mountain Creek, on the Sunshine Coast. It is a one-person operation, with owner Lynne handling every appointment herself rather than rotating dogs through a busy commercial floor.

The salon caters specifically to small and medium dogs up to around 16kg, which keeps the experience calm and unhurried. Lynne brings more than a decade of grooming experience together with a Cert III in dog training and behaviour, and she describes her approach as a common-sense, one-on-one method that considers a dog's mental wellbeing alongside the physical groom. That training background carries through to puppy grooming during the socialisation window and to gentle, desensitising handling for dogs that find the process stressful.

Alongside the clippers and hydrobath, the business reflects Lynne's interest in canine and feline nutrition, offering tailored fresh and raw feeding plans, one-on-one home grooming maintenance lessons for owners who want to keep their dog comfortable between visits. It suits people after an attentive, low-volume groom rather than a production-line salon.
