About Tiny Tails Pet Salon - For All Sizes

Tiny Tails Pet Salon is a cage-free dog and cat grooming salon in Wynnum West, on Brisbane's bayside, serving the surrounding Wynnum and Manly area. Owner Neda runs the salon drawing on around twenty years working with dogs as a trainer and groomer, a path that started when she adopted a rescued dog named Lucky nearly two decades ago.

The salon takes all breeds and works across a full range of sizes, from small dogs under 9kg through to standard dogs over 28kg, with a separate clip-and-tidy service for cats. Being fully cage-free, pets have supervised space to move about and rest between grooming rather than waiting in a crate, which suits dogs that find a busy salon stressful. The work spans everything from a simple bath and tidy-up to a full groom, along with de-shedding for heavy-coated dogs, puppy introductions, walk-in nail trims, and careful handling of matted coats where owners are talked through the process first.

For regulars in Wynnum and Manly, the salon also runs a weekday taxi pickup and drop-off so pets can be groomed without the owner needing to make the trip both ways.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tiny Tails a cage-free salon?

Yes. Tiny Tails is a fully cage-free facility, with supervised space for pets to move about and rest rather than being kept in a crate between grooming.

When should a puppy have its first groom?

The salon recommends puppies have their first groom at 12 to 14 weeks old. The Puppy Pamper service is set up as a gentle introduction with a bath, blow-dry, hygiene trim and ear cleaning.

How often should a dog be groomed?

Tiny Tails recommends a full groom every 7 to 8 weeks. If you would like a Tidy Up in between, they suggest booking it about 4 weeks after a full groom.

Do they groom cats?

Yes. Cat grooming includes a full body clip, face and feet work, hygiene services and nail trimming. A full cat groom is $100, and a walk-in nail trim is $25. They recommend you stay with your cat during the session.

Can they groom a matted dog?

Yes, though working through a matted coat can in rare cases cause skin irritation, cuts or bleeding, so owners must give consent first. Extra charges apply for the additional time and care involved.

Is there a pickup and drop-off service?

Yes. A taxi pickup and drop-off runs on weekdays for the Wynnum and Manly area at $15 each way, with pickups in the morning and drop-offs around midday.

Are vaccinations required?

Proof is not required to book online, but dogs should be up to date with a C5 minimum, covering canine cough, distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvovirus.
