About Toby's Dog Grooming
Toby's Dog Grooming is a small, family-run salon at 4/1 Jewel Way in Banksia Grove, serving the northern Perth suburbs including Tapping, Carramar, Wanneroo, Joondalup and Currambine. Started in September 2023 by brother-and-sister team Jordan and Hayley and named after Jordan's golden retriever, the salon brings together qualified groomers with more than twenty years of combined experience across all breeds, sizes and coat types.
The space is built around a cage-free, open layout where dogs are free to roam rather than be crated while they wait, and a reception area looks straight into the grooming room. Work runs by appointment, takes an unhurried approach and is tailored to each dog's breed and coat, with professional-grade products and no cage-drying. The team note good experience with anxious and reactive dogs, allowing extra time and pausing if a dog becomes distressed, and run a gentle Puppy Intro Groom to introduce pups under five months to the sights and sounds of the salon before clippers come out.
Every dog is treated with the kindness and patience the owners would want for their own pet.

Do you take walk-ins or do I need an appointment?
Toby's works by appointment only. You can book online 24/7 via the Square Appointments page or call 0455 492 337 during business hours, and booking two to three weeks ahead is recommended, especially during busy periods.
Do you groom all breeds?
Yes, all breeds are welcome, including Cavoodles, Golden Retrievers, Maltese, Poodles, Schnauzers and Border Collies. Final pricing depends on breed, size, coat length and coat condition.
Can you groom anxious or reactive dogs?
The team have good experience with anxious and reactive dogs and take a calm, unhurried approach. Let them know at booking so they can allow extra time, and they will stop if a dog becomes distressed.
Do you groom puppies?
Yes. The Puppy Intro Groom is for puppies up to five months old and gently familiarises them with the salon in a calm, positive environment before clippers are used. Two sessions may be needed depending on temperament.
Can I stay with my dog during the groom?
Most dogs relax better and settle faster without their owner present, so the salon prefers owners not stay. You'll receive a call or text when your dog is ready for pickup.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card payments including Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS, along with Afterpay and cash.
What happens if my dog's coat is matted?
Staff can handle matting, though severe cases may need a shorter clip for the dog's comfort. Options are discussed beforehand with no surprise charges, and prices are always confirmed before the groom begins.
