Topknotch Dogs

Topknotch Dogs is a dog grooming salon on Price Street in Nerang, on the Gold Coast, run by Lisa Furlonger ICMG, who brings more than 35 years in the grooming industry. The salon works strictly by appointment and keeps the number of dogs in at once deliberately low, with a custom-made bath and warm-water hand-bathing rather than a hydrobath.

Grooming runs from a straightforward Basic wash-and-tidy through Bronze, Silver and Gold, the last a complete hand-scissor style cut to the owner's request. The Platinum package handles full de-moult and deshedding with coat carding, while an Express option suits dogs needing a quicker turnaround. Hand-stripping is offered by consultation, and a Creative Colour service adds permanent dye or semi-permanent chalk for ears, tails or the whole coat.
