Wren Mae's Grooming Geelong is a one-on-one dog grooming salon on Latrobe Terrace in Newtown, in the heart of Greater Geelong. The studio works to a simple promise: the tools, tricks and treats to support each pet in whatever way suits them best.

The approach here is unhurried and pet-led. Grooms are carried out at the dog's own pace, with extra patience set aside for nervous pups so that even the most anxious dog comes away from the appointment having had a positive experience that builds its confidence. Coats of every type are catered for, from short-coated breeds through to long and oodle coats, with a customisable full-body clip and teddy bear face for the doodles. Every groom also takes in the sanitary areas, ears and nails, and there is room for extras like extensive de-shedding, medicated shampoos, tooth brushing, flea and worming treatments, coat masks, and gentle handling for senior or special-needs dogs.

First-time puppies are introduced to the whole routine slowly, getting used to the bath, dryer, clippers and grooming tools so the salon becomes a familiar place. Appointments are booked one at a time, Tuesday to Saturday.
